The Nanticoke River Yacht Club held our General Membership Meeting this month, and made some pretty big decisions. A big thank you to Randy and Elaine for stepping up to the plate and hosting a delicious dinner! We did so enjoy it, as always, when they cook.
The membership decided to purchase a 60-inch double oven range with a griddle and a broiler.
The membership decided to purchase a warming/holding cabinet, which will be placed in our dining room.
We will be Cleaning the Attic on Wednesday, March 11. We are looking for a few good men to form an assembly line and bring everything out of the attic, with a group of women to look through, organize, and label. Then the men can put back what we keep, and the rest goes in the dumpster. This has been a major complaint about our Club, and we are going to fix it.
In April, look for news of our now Annual Spring Cleaning. Details later.
It was decided at the meeting to pass the By-Laws corrections, but not to add the Section 12 of Article VII. Instead a grievance policy will be in the Policies and Procedures manual that is almost completed.
Mystery Dinner Theatre on Friday, April 24. We will be serving a delicious dinner of Salad, Beef, Salmon with Miso butter, Vegetables, Twice Baked Potatoes, and Dessert. The Ovation Theatre group will be presenting the mystery: Murder: Take Two. The tickets are on sale for $35. See Pat Hamstead. It promises to be a great night of food and entertainment.
Live for Chocolate is coming to the Yacht Club. We are working with the Nanticoke Hospital and the Chamber of Commerce. This is a night to honor Cancer Survivors and their families. The date is May 1, and I am looking for a committee to help make chocolate to give to our possible 500 visitors, who will tour the Club on that evening.
