Sailing, Kayaking, and Gardening, Oh My!

2015_Proud Crabtowne Gardeners at B&A PlotClub Crabtowne’s monthly meeting and social will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at The Fleet Reserve Club, 100 Compromise St., Annapolis, 6-8 p.m. Meet new friends, sign up for activities, and join the fun. See clubcrabtowne.org to find out more. Active-duty military personnel receive a 1-year free membership.

Since our April 29 trip-planning meeting, we have scheduled many special events to satisfy various interests, especially water sports. Even our meeting had a nautical theme at the Double-T Diner, as photographed above.

This month, our kayakers spent 5-6 beautiful hours on Jug Bay in the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge and enjoyed a relaxing picnic lunch; we plan to host this trip monthly in early June through early September. In addition, our gardeners spruced up our B&A Trail garden plot.

On June 20, our sailors will be head over to Hemingway’s Restaurant at 10 a.m. for lunch. We will also host full-moon cruises each month from June to October. Additional sailing excursions, for example, on July 4, will be featured in the July issue. These trips are reserved for dues ($30/yr.) -paying members and their guests.
