Cruising and Lobsters

Over 30 club members in 14 boats, sail and motor, participated in the Back Creek Yacht Club's (BCYC) annual Spring cruise, from May 23rd through the 31s t enjoying wonderful weather for 7 of the 8 day cruise. It started at St. Helena Island in the Severn, then to the Rhode River, over to the Miles River Yacht Club by St. Michaels, to Water Hole Creek near Knapps Narrows, then to Brewers Boat Yard at Oxford, and finally to Knapps Narrows Marina and an Eastern Shore Crab Boil before heading home May 31.

On June 20th, the Club’s lobster feast (with roast beef an option) took place as usual at the Wally and Molly Stones house on Crab Creek, followed the next morning by a pancake breakfast. A Fall Vagabond Cruise will occur in later August extending through Labor Day on the Bay.
