Potomac River Sailing Association (PRSA) sailors participated in a number of traveling regattas over the summer, including the Severn Sailing Association Summer Series (multiple classes) and the Havre de Grace Duck Challenge (Lightning Class). The highlight, though, was the 51st Annual VA Governor’s Cup hosted by Ware River Yacht Club on August 1-2. Nearly 70 boats in numerous classes participated, including PRSA sailors in the Albacore and Buccaneer classes. PRSA sailors Jeff Neurauter (skipper) and Carrie Quinn (crew) won the club’s prized Virginia Governor’s Cup trophy for their victory in the largest class in the event, earning them the right to the event’s namesake cup.
