Pig Roast, Carousel, and Annual Meeting Time

A large turnout, undeterred by rain and a hurricane threat, participated in the Pig Roast hosted by Court and Laura Treuth at their house on Cattail Creek off the Magothy River on October 3rd.  Midshore Electronics preceded the feast of pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, fresh tomato caprese, refreshments, followed by cookies and cupcakes, with an important demonstration on using the digital selective calling system on VHF radios to aid potential rescue situations and linking boat locations.

On October 10, during the U.S. Sailboat Show, a group attended the performance of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Carousel, at the Maryland Hall of Creative Arts, presented by Live Arts Maryland, in which the Club was represented by Westbrook Murphy, as part of the Annapolis Chorale which sang, such favorites as, "June is Bustin’ Out All over” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

Following the Annapolis Boat Show weekends, members attended the Navy football game and tailgate with Tulane October 24 and a Halloween Happy Hour hosted by Terry and Jeanie Bidnick on the 30th.  The Club will hold its annual meeting on November 8 at the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis.
