Even though this club is off the Bay we thought it would be of interest to some of our clubs who may dream of trying this one day.
Ever wanted to Cruise the Great Lakes in your trailerable boat, but wondered if you and/or your boat were up to the task? Admit it, we’ve all dreamed about cruising the vast, beautiful, sweet waters of the Great Lakes. From the wide, expansive waters to the small quiet coves. Exploring the awe-inspiring sea caves, the many small islands, and the small quaint towns. There is MUCH to discover and explore on the beautiful Great Lakes!
But HOW do you explore all of this water wonderland safely? That’s where the Great Lakes Cruising Club can help! The GLCC takes the guesswork out of where to launch, what to see, and what to watch out for while cruising the Great Lakes. We even have a local fellow boater who you can call to get that all important “local knowledge” of the area you would like to visit. All this and more is available via a large variety of resources. Among the best resources are free enrollment in the Great Lakes Cruising Club School (GLCCSchool) and/or an inexpensive membership to the Great Lakes Cruising Club.
To get an idea of how you can experience all this first hand, attend a live presentation via the web on February 29, 2016 at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central time. In a one hour presentation, Great Lakes Cruising Club member Brad Lathrop will take you on three of his recent two-week cruises of Eagle Harbor and Death’s Door of Green Bay, Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Manitou Islands of Lake Michigan, as well as the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior! Brad will cover such topics as navigation, provisioning, lessons learned, and much more. That’s three, two-week cruises with his wife Debbie aboard their 26’ trailerable sailboat in complete safety and comfort. Come join us and see how easy it can be for you!
This “webinar” will show you possibilities you never thought of before with your trailerable boat! You do not have to be a member of the Great Lakes Cruising Club to watch this presentation. Go to GLCCSchool.com and click “Open Classes” to obtain more information. Free enrollment in the GLCCSchool provides access for those interested to register for any “Open Classes.”
