SpinSheet Summer Cover Contest Winner and Favorite Reader Photos
Every summer, SpinSheet readers submit their photos depicting sailing on the Chesapeake Bay from their perspective and then vote for the winner. This year's winner was David Sites for his entry showing Captain Delaney of the Schooner Woodwind at the dock. Thanks to David for his great photo and all participants in this year's contest. Note: Readers sometimes ask us why their photo was cut for the final voting batch. This happens for several reasons. Our graphic design team clips photos that show unsafe practices (such as children not wearing lifejackets) or photos that are blurry, misshapen for the cover (horizontal and not easy to clip), or don't leave enough room at the top of the bottom for our header & footers.
