from 9 a.m. to noon, BOR organizers will conduct a free seminar about what racers can and should do know to be ready. Topics include:

Evaluating Your Rigging: Mike Meers
inspect your rigging for offshore racing, how to climb the mast safely, what to look for when
you are up there and what the most common rigging failures are.

Evaluating Your Sails: Gary Chwastyk of Bac
evaluate the condition of sails

Evaluating Your Electronics
electronics are needed, what the electronics are used for, whether “old”
and whether old and new electronics can be integrated.

Evaluating Your Boat: Stuart Forrest of General Yacht Services
will discuss when evaluating your boat for offshore racing. Subjects include checking thru hulls, hatches,
portholes, lifelines, rudders, and more
