Spring TNR
5/9 - J70! fun. 2 Races
A whole day on the water with J105s and a clinic on trim, starts, and procedures on board.
Great to see the entire fleet getting faster.
Spring WNR Series 1
HHRS on a J105
Not the best regatta for the boat, but started rough when someone hit us Port-Starboard that put us back positionally and morally.
Slowly got better through the series until we got it - and then the regatta ended.
Coached at the West River Sailing Club Junior Regatta focusing on our Laser/ILCA sailors. Very happy with how they overcame many challenges that day and came out with a 2 in a race and 4th overall. Hoping to carry on that momentum for them and continue.
J105 Crescendo
Fantastic Day for the boat and the crew cruising to another 1st place in class.
Starting the day off right with a bullet after going course right tacking right after the start.
Following that momentum with another bullet but not after a close downwind leg with Firebrand hot on our trails.
Finished the day off with a 2 giving Firebrand the win that race by a narrow ~10 seconds.
sidenote: got a new Goslings hat! + post race picture
J105 Crescendo.
Tough Series. Started off with a bullet but then struggled with the puffy and heavy conditions as winds were building throughout the day.
J/105 Crescendo.
Tough Starts and first few upwind legs compared to the other J105s. Caught up by going into the shallows on the Eastern Shore closer than others and made up many places. Second to round Southern mark and then second to finish up to Annapolis.
AYC Wednesday Night Series 2.
J105 Crescendo
Raced the Annapolis to Newport Race, approx 21 hours in the Chesapeake Bay
J/105 Crescendo.
First place overall and First place in J105 fleet.
EWE Spirit cup allowed us to choose to round the distance course clockwise or CCW, and CW was our winning strategy.
Started Racing onboard J/105 Crescendo for the AYC Wednesday night races
Sailing the NOODS onboard J/24 ROO. New team, new experiences. Got to learn lots about symmetric sailing and light wind J24 sailing.
First day out, and on a dinghy! Taking Emerson on a sail.
