DS Spring Series SSA

SSA sponsored the DS Spring series was a Saturday / Sunday event. My DS is Morning Glory DS 13160. I registered as skipper and my son David Harris was my crew. 
On Saturday it was raining and there was no wind. Racing was cancelled. In Sunday there was very little wind. During the delay on land my son and I decided to put the boat in the water. We were the first ones to splash the boat (a few people did) so despite the fact that racing was again cancelled we got Second place for splashing the boat first behind the first place boat which was given a bath for the first time in years! Third place was awarded to our enthusiastic new sailors that recently acquired a DS and also put the boat in and sailed.
