The 2014 Snowflake Regatta in Riverhead, NY, turned rowing into a full contact sport with multiple boat collisions, groundings, rowers overboard, and, well, a whole bunch of "ridiculousness," in the words of one of the parents watching.
It's good to know that sailors aren't the only ones who have issues with OTW collisions. We're probably very lucky that our parents are never allowed access to video regattas from the RC.
