Don't Leave Out These Marinas in Deale When Considering Where to Keep Your Boat
It's only 15 minutes outside of Annapolis, and yet in many ways it's worlds away. Deale, MD, offers boaters a quiet respite while catering toward a taste for the finer things in life. With top notch amenities, some of the area's best restaurants within walking distance, and the ability to be planing on the Bay within minutes, you need to give this sleepy town a second look. Here are three of our favorite marinas in Deale.
The family owned and operated marina located on Rockhold Creek offers wet and dry storage, a pool, on-site service and repairs, and a full service marine store. Members extol the virtues of the clean and safe environment, friendly and helpful staff, and fun vibe that sets over the marina every day around five o'clock. Slipholders enjoy special benefits such as special events and happy hours, a business office, free WiFi, and a discount at the marine store. 90 wet slips up to six feet in depth are available to boats up to 40 feet, with electricity and water and every slip. The marina's lift can accommodate boats up to 45 feet. Hidden Harbour Marina also offers one of the most beautiful landscaped areas to picnic and lounge in, if you have to be on land.
It's the best-kept secret on the Chesapeake Bay, yet it's the closest full-service marina to the Washington metro area. With 80 wet slips and more than 150 dry stacked boatel storage racks, Harbour Cove Marina is built to accommodate boaters of all shapes and sizes. A barbecue area and swimming pool are great for hosting get-togethers, and tennis courts, restaurants, coffee shops, and plenty of retail shops are within walking distance. Indoors, the club house is full of ping pong, pool, and foosball tables, as well as TVs for rainy days. Popular with fishermen, the marina hosts several fishing tournaments and offers fish cleaning stations.
Newly purchased by John and Gail Hiser, Paradise Marina is quickly becoming one of the best destinations on the Middle Chesapeake. The marina offers both sail and powerboat slips for boats up to 40 feet in length, with two boat lifts and even a jet ski lift. They will also install personal lifts in slips to keep a special boat out of the water (but close to it). Paradise Marina is five minutes away from Skipper's Pier restaurant, offering waterfront dining. The restaurant is one of the most popular dock bars on the Middle Chesapeake, with tables out on the pier.
