The 70-mile-long St. Mary's College of Maryland Governor's Cup Yacht Race starts off Annapolis (and one leg up the Potomac) at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. today (Friday). More than 100 race boats will make the overnight trek to St. Mary's City at the mouth of the Potomac for tomorrow's big party and awards ceremony.
Although the weather report seems to indicate that none of these boats will be traveling too quickly and all may get pretty wet, sailors in Chesapeake country are packing up their boats with coolers and foulies and getting psyched for this annual adventure!
Here are the three links for you to track your friends' and family's progress today and through the night.

SpinSheet will be on the water shooting the start and down at St. Mary's for the awards ceremony. To all competitors... be safe out there, and have a blast!!
