It's a flat and hot day on the Chesapeake for Trash Free Maryland's Trash Trawl. One Annapolis sailor, a SpinSheet Centurion, sent us these shots from his 40-foot sloop. This particular group will trawl for plastics all day today and tomorrow, as part of the 15-day event. This event is a partnership among many: the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the US EPA and the Chesapeake Bay Program, Dr. Chelsea Rochman, the National Aquarium, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Calvert Marine Museum, Chris Charbonneau/ SpinSheet, Chesapeake Bay Trust, the 5 Gyres Institute, and many more.
