Racing is on today in Newport, RI, where the J/24 Worlds are taking place. Yesterday suffered a morning postponement ashore before the fleet took off to get in two races.
Mark Hillman's Sokonumara was in first place at the end of Tuesday's racing, but a black flag disqualification on Day Two has sent him down to 16th place. This left room for Rhode Island's own Will Welles to sweep in and take the top spot onboard Cougar, with only ten points gained over the day.

Tony Parker's Bangor Packet, a resident fixture of the Annapolis sailing scene, is doing awesome in seventh place with two fifth-place finishes yesterday. He, like Welles, only put ten points in the bucket yesterday. Nice work!
Shawn Murray onboard Roo had an incredible third place finish yesterday, as well, but were also killed with a BFD in the final race. He's currently in 51st place overall in the 72-boat fleet, with 13 nations represented.
