Gary Jobson, world renowned sailor, will be the guest speaker at the Naval Academy Spouses’ and Civilians’ Club November program and luncheon on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Union Jack’s British Pub, 2072 Somerville Road, Annapolis, MD, 21401.
Check in is at 11:00 a.m. with the program and lunch starting at 11:45 a.m.
Gary is a local Annapolitan who has sailed around the world and received numerous awards. He began his career at the US Merchant Marine Academy and at the US Naval Academy as a sailing coach. He partnered with and won the American’s Cup Trophy with Ted Turner. He is a television commentator, Olympics sailing commentator, and author of 18 sailing books in addition to being an Editor-at-Large of several sailing magazines. He also established the National Sailing Hall of Fame headquartered in Annapolis, MD.
