Had a nice afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor to the Peace River. Skies were sunny with a temperture in the low 70's  with breezy and gusty winds from the northeast.

Had a pleasant daysail to Alligator Bay on the Peace River. Lots of sunshine with temperatures in the mid to upper 70's with a gentle breeze.

Had a very nice sail to Tippecanoe Bay on the Myakka River. Skies started as overcast but cleared as the day progressed with an east-northeast wind in the 7 to 10 knot range with some higher gusts.

Sailed across Charlotte Harbor in breezy conditions with lots of sunshine, choppy waves and much spray. Few power boats out today and my boat was the only sailboat under 32 feet that I saw sailing today.

Had a nice daysail to the Myakka River in beautiful weather. Saw dolphins jumping out of the water but could not get a photo of them.

Had a pleasant late afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor as the afternoon seabreeze has finally arrived after a day of light and variable wind. Temperatures were in the 80's under partly cloudy skies.

  • Alligator Creek. Despite the name I have only seen one alligator in the creek in the last four years.

Had a nice daysail across Charlotte Harbor to the Myakka River. It is finally warm enough on the water after the Polar Vortex earlier this month to break out the shorts. Sky was a beautiful blue with winds in the 10 to 13 knot range making for a fast sail.

I sailed to Cotton Key Shoal in a light east wind in the 5 to 8 knot range. Weather was sunny and warm with the temperature on the water around 78 degrees. On the return trip the wind died and I had to motor the rest of the way home.
