Had a nice afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor. Sky was mostly sunny with temperatures in the low to mid 80's and a south wind in the 10 to 12 knot range.

Had a nice afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor. Showers and thunderstorms were in the weather forecast so I had to keep a close eye on the sky and the weather radar. Was pleasantly surprised when the skies cleared during the sail making for a very nice sail.

  • Morgan 30 sailboat. The only other sailboat I saw underway today.

Had a fun daysail on Charlotte Harbor. There was more wind than predicted so I ended up sailing under just a reefed mainsail in winds gusting to 25 knots, yet I still hit speeds over 6 knots. Not many other boats were out today and I only saw one other sailboat underway.

Sailed to the Peace River. The weather was beautiful with lots of sunshine, temperatures in the mid 80's and northeasterly winds in the 10 to 15 knot range with gusts into the 20's. Saw several Florida Fish and Wildlife police boats training in the Peace River.

Had a pleasant sail across Charlotte Harbor on a cloudless day with a southwest wind around 6 to 8 knots. Temperature was in the low 70's. Despite the nice weather, I did not see any other sailboats out today but I saw a number of power boats out fishing.

During a visit to Everglades City, FL I took an airboat ride through the mangroves. Weather was beautiful with a temperature  around 70 degrees with clear skies and no bugs. At times the airboat got up to 35 mph but it had to go slow in the mangrove tunnels. Saw an alligator in the wild on the ride.

Had a good sail on Charlotte Harbor. The wind was from the west around 14 to 15 knots making for rather choppy seas in the shallow water of Charlotte Harbor. However the skies were mostly sunny with a comfortable temperature in the upper 70's.

Had a pleasant afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor to Locust Point. Weather was beautiful with a light wind from the north shifting to the west. An unusually large number of boats were anchored in Sunset Lagoon today.
