HAMPTON ANNUAL MIDDLE GROUND LIGHT RACE, with winds reduced on Sunday to a benign 9-10 knots, was the reasonable opportunity for racers in the Harbor. HYC presents this event annually, the first weekend after Labor Day. RESULTS: PHRF-A (9 boats, 10.8nm):1.Ian Hill, Sitella; 2.Sledd Shelhorse, Meridian XI; 3.Leroi Lissenden, Voodoo2. PHRF-B/C (6 boats, 9.0nm):1.Ben Weeks, Rumble; 2.Rusty Burshell, Cool Change; 3.Alan Bomar, Roundabout. PHRF-NS (9 boats, 7.70nm): 1.Paul Clifford, Wind Dancer; 2.Dixon Wilde, Kingfisher; 3.Ken Copeland/Carl Gade/Al Girardin, Black Widow.
