Participated in the EYC Lights Parade on December 14 on Beneteau 37 decorated with Thomas Point Lighthouse. Sailed in two Frostbite races on CS 34 on December 15.

Did a final sail for the season on Pleiades on November 18. On November 24, motored to Atlantic Marina on the Magothy to fill up with diesel and on the 25th motored Pleiades from Deep Creek to Gibson Island to be winterized and hauled out of the water.
Sailed with friends on Pleiades from Deep Creek off the Magothy to Langford Creek off the Chester on November 9. Had a vigorous sail to Eagles Cove off the Magothy to rendezvous with members of Eastport Yacht Club on November 10. On the 11th, we went sailing on the Chesapeake Bay before returning home to Deep Creek. Nice sailing weekend!
Taught and certified ASA 101 and 103 courses on a five-day sail from the South River to Portsmouth. On October 25 sailed from the South River to the Rhode. On October 26 had a vigorous sail to Solomons, hittling 10.1 knots. On October 27 did an overnight passage and anchored in the York River on the 28th. On the 29th ended the trip at a marina in Portsmouth.
Sailed on the Chesapeake Bay on Pleiades on September 15, October 4, October 18, November 2, and November 5. The sails were 3 to 4 hours in duration with varying wind conditions. Happy to get out on the Bay!
Did sunset sails on a J-80 on September 5 and 12 on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay. Sailed with CAPCA women menbers on a Ketch on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay on September 9. Tested an electric boat on October 6 at the Power Boat Show. Crewed in the Frostbite series on a CS 34 on November 3. Sailed on a Catalina 32 on the Chester River on November 15, and sailed on the Severn River on a Beneteau 37 on December 7.
Went on a four-day cruise with friends on Pleiades from August 26 to August 29. On August 26 we sailed from the Magothy to Lloyds Creek on the Wye. On the 27th we sailed to Goldsborough Creek off the Tred Avon. On the 28th we sailed to St. Michaels and sailed back to the Magothy on the 29th. Winds were varialble throughout the cruise, with the best sailing on the last day.
Went to Georgetown on the Sassafras for Labor Day weekend for an EYC rendezvous with my niece, nephew and our two golden retrievers. There was almost no wind on our way up on August 31, but excellent wind for our sail back to the Magothy on September 2nd.
Had a nice cruise to Queenstown Creek from the Magothy on September 21 with my niece, nephew and our two goldens and a light wind sail back on September 22.
Taught ASA 101 courses with some 103 skills on August 24 and 25 to a family who chartered a 39' Jenneau. The wife and two teenagers received their certifications.
Conducted all-day training sails for Sail Beyond Cancer Annapolis on board their 40' Beneteau on August 15 and 16.
Conducted ASA 101 and 103 classes for American Naval Sailing Association (ANSA) for a family of five on their 46' Hallberg Rassy on August 4, 5, and 6. The husband and wife receved their 103 ASA certifications, the 16 year old daughter received her 101 and 103 certifications, the 12 year old daughter received her 101 certification and the 9 year old son enjoyed motoring out of the South River to the Chesapeake Bay and helping with anchoring.
