Well, this was an interesting one that included two engine failures, a tow, and some improvised damage control to stop some flooding....
Century Club: Jason Fox
For the third year in a row, sailed aboard Windsong for the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race. We won our class!
Captained a sea trial our of Jabin's that ended in a tow. Don't think the buyer bought the boat... LOL
Another fabulous Opportunity to sail aboard the Schooner Ernestina Morrisey for the Gloucester (MA) Schooner Race!
This was an adventure that spanned two major legs... was supposed to be 1... from Nova Scotia to Annapolis. There were issues worthy of great stories... But we got it done.
And on 12/21, I took a potential buyer out for a trial. This job never ends!! :)
Captained a Swift 41 for a private event.
Was supposed to be an "gain twin I/O experience day." Turned into "gain causualty operations" experience day... LOL.
Went out for an afternoon to see about Captaining for them.
It's always fun to teach boating to new boaters. I get to do that on various power boats (mostly center consoles) through the Annapolis School of Seamanship (I'm also a NSBC Instructor). This is a summary entry for the year.
We tried to take Fine Tuned, but bringing along an extra eco-system on the bottom proved to be a problem, so we jumped on 3Cs with Matt Smith and family.
