Warmer day today with south winds. Headed out in CC with my lunch. Trolled around some and test run the boat. Ran good and no gas smell when I got back in to the house.
Century Club: Greg Harttraft
Salley and I took Chris Craft out for a lunch ride. Very warm out with light winds. Anchored at Inlet Sedges. Casted a few times but no fish. Enclosure windshield very good and warm.
Completed bottom painting the week of April 15th. Greg helped me launch it on Friday afternoon. Short ride to my home on Oyster Creek.
Boat paint done by Friday - back in the water about 2pm. Jim went along on ride back to Halifax Harbor marina. Donna helped from dock for docking lines. Jim did great! Engines started fine.
Ran trawler Why Knot over to Daytona Boat works from HH marina on a Monday for Haul out for bottom paint. Don went along and his wife picked us up by car.
Run Chris Craft over to boat ramp and pulled it out for the season. Thanks for the help Phil. Took back to my house and backed it into driveway.
Went out around noon. Little SW wind but sunny. Water 45 deg./ air about 48 deg. Love the enclosure. No fish biting.
50 degree day - light winds. Headed out in Chris Craft for ride and trolling. No fish - saw lots of ducks. Used my fish net to grab a wine bottle that was floating nearby. Thanks fisherman! Glass in the bay is not good.
Took Pretty boat out 930am. Headed for the marina to be hauled out for the winter. Nice calm ride there. Once there added another 50 gallons diesel so it was 3/4 full. Good for the winter. Drove down to boat lift area and Jim and Gary were there to watch. Long Key Vinnie hauled boat out with travel lift. Then powerwashed bottom - looked very Clean and only a few barnacles on rudder. It got blocked up halfway up the north side boat storage area.
That is day 100 for 2023. But I still have my Chris Craft in the water to add more days!
Finished up the new windshield piece for the enclosure for my Chris Craft boat. Went out for a ride to try it out. Worked well and pretty clear. Trolled for a while - nothing going on in bay.
