Breeze was up 18-25 nts. We set the kite while still in the harbor, next thing we knew, here comes Thomas Point!  13-14nts consistent boat speed, peaking over 16nts!!  Fantastic downwind sailing!

We reached around the J22 worlds regatta,  lots of fun watching nearly 50 boats fight it out.   As we were coming up on Greenbury Point,  a massive right shift put us on our ear soaking us in the process!  What a blast!

Thanks Nic for coming through on a last minute crew call!

First time on a racing Cat.  Joined the crew about the Cheshire Cat, a Stilleto XR, in Saturday's race to Baltimore.

Unfortunately the wind didnt cooperate- after a becalmed hour bobbing a couple of miles short of the harbor, we bagged it and motored back to Annapolis.

Still- a beautiful day on the water.

Thanks John, for having me aboard, and great sailing with JT and Matt.

Perfect evening for rainbow races!   Wind was blowing 10-15 out of the NW, then the W.  Very unusual.  Sailed with Todd and Ryan- great guys... We blew the first race by taking a couple of minutes shaking out the reef on the upwind leg...  Put us in 2nd to last.  But we found our rhythm afterwards, placing 2nd and then 1st on the next two races.

That might have been our last Rainbow race :(

Got to sail on another J/70. Fast Company #377 is  Greg E's pristine version of Celerity.

Had a great time.  First went out to watch the AYC Fall Series #2  ORC races. Matched Senatorae on its last two legs, and then did a bunch of mark roundings.  Afterwards we shot through the boats moored in Annapolis Harbour- always fun!   Met up with Christie and we all went to Cantler's for a crab feast. Great day!

Only one race on Saturday :( .  The wind crapped out on the last leg, and we were far enough back that it really impacted us.    We (Donna, Jamey, Eric and I)  led the fleet on the first two legs, but completely fell apart after fouling Mark Hillman's boat.  Went from 2nd at that point, to 2nd from last.

Sunday was much better.  Three races in: placed 2nd and 3rd first two races, but was OCS and fouled VooDeax, pushing us back to 4th.

Overall we were 3rd for the series!!

Congratulations to Progress and Hillman Capital on their 1st and 2nd placings.

And a special thanks to Fast Company for the drive-by shout out!

Looking forward to the Fall Brawl!

Donna and I had the opportunity to take Ian M and his son Henry out for a sail. Ian is the Annapolis Sailing School Director of Instruction and the Keel Boat Club.  His guidance and instruction have been pivitol in our development as sailors.    Turned out to be an excellent day!  7- 10 knots, perfect for a brisk downwind reach!

Looking forward to having them on again!
