What a night! all the way from Back Creek E3, to R2 out by the freighters, to AH1 and back to the Sailing school. ~12nt winds, 2-4 seastate. Great job teammates Sage and April!
Century Club: Jason Aulds
Our first pursuit race! Chose the wrong bridge for our first leg, but a great experience!
The wind was all over the place! Shifty on minute, gone the next. Donna and I tried to get the kite up at the windward mark, but a big shift put us on close reach- just could not make that work with our A2. But what a great evening!
A couple of very competitive races! Fleet One is an awesome collection of sailors!
Great night for racing! Met two awesome aspiring racers- Mike and Dean: BZ!
We almost got a full race in, but July doldrums set in and the RC had to shorten the course...thankfully!
Donna and I double-handed Celerity. Very light wind sail, but hats off to the RC for sticking to it!
What a weekend!
We had a rotating crew: Our Main trimmer and tactician Greg; tremendous teacher. Our #1 position and cheerleader Christie for races 1&3, and last but not least Steve for day 2.
We got one race in on Friday, 3 on Saturday and one on Sunday. All in all not a bad showing for Celerity. (5th out of 8)
Big BZ to the Southern Maryland Sailing Association: the RC was just the right amount of patient with the breeze. Thanks to Zahnisers Safe Harbor Marina.
But biggest thanks to Marlene Plumley for all her help and sharing of wisdom!
