Took the opportunity during an exceedingly nice day where the temperature was near 60, 8-12 knots of wind and the sun shining to go out and sail. Got the spinnaker up, but didn't have all of my crew onboard so the blooper and mizzen staysail stayed in their bags. It was a really nice sail to knock the cobwebs off!

Underway with Tim Etherington on his Navy Lady and John Dewey to the pumpout station at Bluewater Yachts, then back to HYC. Short trip, but it was a nice day to be out on the water.
Served as RC Line Sighter for Dana Dillon Memorial New Years Day Madness Race at Old Point Comfort Marina
Got underway wth JD and CJ Blackwell with their new to them Grozzard 44 to help them get into a dock at Salt Pond Marina in Hampton before they begin the next chapter of their lives as full time cruising sailors. The boat is magnificent! Gorgeous day to be out on the water.
Unable to convince enough crew to race, so myself and Ryan jumped ship and raced onboard Ron Razula's 41 North. 3rd place out of 5 boats. Pretty much the same winds as yesterday, but without the swells.
Placed 3rd of 4 boats. A little chilly and blustery winds, but fun race.

Point to Point Pursuit Race from the start at Little Creek Entrance Buoy through Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, to the finiah line just off the beach at 24th Street in Virginia Beach, about a 15 NM race. The winds were strong and forecast to be 18-21, gusts to 29 swells 2-3m. No big deal for the first leg as the CBBT islands blocked the wind and seas to some extent, and then once through CBBT channel it was a broad race to dead downwind to the finish line. The problem was after the finish, it took 4 hours to complete the race, and about 71/2 hours to sail back through CBBT to Hampton. It was a bumpy and wet ride.
