On an cloudy evening where the winds were blowing 13-16 kts and with a slight chill, Luna Blu had signed up for Race Committee. Dang the bad luck, the only race with wind! John, Brian, Steve and John joined me and the race sequence went without a hitch. After the starts, we settled in for a Moma Rosa's submarine sandwich supper and waited for the boats to finish. All of the boats finished with a bone in their teeth, would have made some great pics had I thought about it at the time... The only thing we forgot was to take pics!
Century Club: Keith Midgette
3 very short races and a rabbit start race made for a very tired crew with a 12 knot breeze, but the 2 new crew onboard really enjoyed it so I hope they will come back!
Light air, another TLE
Another light air day leading to another TLE
TGood start but ,lack of wind. fleet TLEd. Sail back to Hampton was very nice though.
This was to be the first day of the CCVR Spring Series with two races. Unfortunately, the wind died before we got to the first mark so we TLE'd the first race and the 2nd race was cancelled. The wind did freshen a bit so to get some practice in, we put up the new spinnaker, then doused it and put up the older one, and then hoisted the new to the boat Blooper. Had a very nice run down to Old Point Comfort and then to the marina, had a few beers. All in all, it ended up being a very nice day despite the TLE.
Wind was a little fluky, but a very nice sail around Willoughby Bay for the second race of the BBSA Willoughby Racers Thursday NIght Spring Series in Norfolk, VA
Two races in Hampton Roads Harbor, a really nice day for sailing.
