We didn't race, but we did leave the dock!
Another light, hot day of racing. Storms almost came in in time to cool us off, but not quite.
Took a couple of Mike's business associates and their kids out for their first sail ever!
Brought the boat south to spend the night closer to the starting line of the Race to Baltimore. Took off in the evening, saw some wildlife, got Garreth "trapezing" while driving with a boat hook attached to the tiller extension. Slept like a log. A bit hot.
race to Baltimore took two start attempts cuz of current. Swimming, doing bow barefoot, did well.
gusting to 24 knots on a J70 with 5 little people. Mike, Todd, Me, Nikki and Wilson. WHAT A BLAST. I learned a bunch from the experience and can't wait to get out in such big weather again!
As a celebration of Dave Gendell's new book!
Todd drive and I did main/tactics with Mike outta town. We FINALLY beat Flying Circus. By quite a bit!
Coaching Christian and Colton, two small 10-year-olds with me on one full rig laser. It actually worked GREAT!
The EYC Boomerang aboard the mighty Jubilee! 10-20 almost the whole way around the 56-mile overnight race out of Annapolis. Downwind start in 15-20, shooting stars, stunning orange moon rise, passed 3 boats between Thomas Point and the finish and need to sleep now. Thank you for having us, Keith Mayes!
