The wind was marginal starting out this moring but picked up and it turned out to be one of the best days yet to be out on the Potomac. Sailed from Mattox Creek to just past Colonial Beach.

Karen and I got some exercise this beautiful Sunday morning by kayaking around Mattox Creek.
Went out for what I thought would be a very short afternoon sail but it turned out that there was just enough wind to have fun.
An absolutely perfect 7 knot breeze from the southwest enabled me to scoot back and forth our section of Mattox Creek.
Third day in a row with perfect sailing conditions around Mattox Creek.
Temperature in the low 80's, steady wind, what more could I ask for.
Nice westerly wind of perhaps 7 knots with gusts to 15. Perfect wind conditions to practice my tacking.
I convinced my terrific wife to take an AM sail with me on Mattox Creek. She is a bit apprehensive to sail so when she does go out it’s always one of the best sails of the season.
Saturday afternoon turned out to be a great day for a mellow sail on the Potomac. As you can see I wasn't the only one with that idea.
Took a morning sail past Stepp's Marinia.
