Had to dodge to unannounced launches from the YP basin but I got to see the cutter steam off of the naval academy sea wall. Somehow it had less wake than the launches.

Blowing 10 with occasional 2 foot swells. No time to look for fish and birds, though I recall the Horn point marker ospreys were irritated by my presence.
Back at the beach I interrupted a pair of maiting horseshoe crabs. Also so at least one watersnake up to it's usual business on the shoreline.
Had to dodge eight geese and a dozen goslings to put in at the beach. Huge ebb tide made me miscalculate the bearing to the first marker. Didn't notice any birds besides the osprey nesting on the Horn Point shoal marker, but some big fish were jumping and there were quite a few fishermen and chicken neckers out early.
After rowing I got the first new draketail plank roughed in and the next one layed out. When removing the original plank it was intact enough to take some measurements off of so hopefully this one goes quicker.
Another personal record 3.56mph. the Horn Point ospreys are still on the nest and the anchored Blue Angels visitors are mostly departed.
Naughty USNA launch left the YP basin with no warning but I suppose they are greatly more manoverable.
Quite a few boats out in the Severn but only one where I had to dodge it. I beat the cruise ship American Bagel so no problems there. Nice big rolling wave action. Average speed 3.5 mph which I think is a record for Sophie.

Very calm flat row. "Nerri" the watersnake was back from her winter hiatus and on post around the Maritime museum dock. Coming back from the row I was delayed for several minutes because the beach was wall-to-wall ducklings.
Warm and windless today. Several cormorants fishing and the ospreys are all nesting.
Six to ten boats anchored near the harbor and I had to dodge a couple that were on their way out.
