Very low tide so paddled over to sunken sailboat to see if more of it was visible. No one takes ownership, so whose responsibility is it to salvage it or at least get it out of the creek where it is a navigational hazard?. My husband wants the mast to make a flagpole. Can we just take that?

Today is my 70th day on the water, apropos as I turn 70 next week. Pretty windy as Alan, on his paddleboard and I in my kayak, paddled to Harbor View Marina and back. Rain coming soon.
There's a sailboat in the creek that as far as we can tell is abandoned. It's been moored in the middle of nowhere near some land that's been for sale for a long time. Hasn't been moved ever. Pretty dirty and looks very neglected. Very mysterious. I paddled over to it and checked it out.
5pm and it was still pretty hot out. Paddled across the creek to look at the sunken sailboat again.
Very windy, coming from the southeast. Took me about 1/2 hour of hard paddling to party cove, coming back took 5 minutes with just me steering. Lots of birds along the way.
Afternoon paddle while Alan sailed.
Sailed around the creek with Alan. Saw swans etc. Warm out but not overbearing. Beautiful day.
Kayaked across the creek while Alan paddleboarded. Less jellyfish probably from all the rain we had yesterday. Went to look at the sailboat that had sunk and to find the swans. Very calm day, cooler but still humid.
Late afternoon kayak on the creek. Went up to flounder fjord and followed some swans to their nest. Beautiful out.
Kayaking with my friend Patti around the creek. We couldn't get the kayaks back on the dock as the jellyfish were out of control. Will have to wait until low tide.
