Low 70s, no humidity, unheard of for August. Paddled across the creek and then into Flounder Fjord, saw several swans and herons. Actually got a pic of both together! Ventured a ways into a marsh trail I'd never been in before, lots of pretty pink purple flowers. They looked like hibiscus but I don't know.

Thunderstorms the past several dsys have kept me from getting my days on the water. Today was actually kinda cool. Feels like Srptember. Afternoon paddle to see the eagles who were not in sight. There was a cool catamaran gunkholing in the creek.
Didn't think we were going to make it out on the water today but Alan suggest it around 6. So off we went. I saw my eagle and we just paddled about the creek. Love long summer nights.
Friends April and Bub took Alan and me out jet skiing for several hours. Drove? Jetted? Boated? all the way to Rossier Creek and went way exploring the creek. I'd only been on a jet ski once before for like 5 minutes. Had a lot of fun.
Paddled over to Flounder Fjord, saw swans and a heron. On the way back I spotted Alan returning from his sail so we took pics of each other. Absolutely a gorgeous afternoon.
After almost a week of grandkids everyone has gone and I had a leisurely paddle to the other side of the creek looking for the eagles. They were a no show, I wonder if they're gone for the year.
Went with Alan on his boat around the creek. Not alot of wind but enough to get us from point A to B. Very nice day, low humidity, in the 80s.
Took each grandkid out on the kayak in afternoon. No camera. They played on the beach and water and all got stung by jellyfish. Sigh, august.
Took my grandaughter, who is visiting for 4 days out for a windy kayak. Hurricane Debby is bearing down on us and there was lots of wind and choppy waves. Thought there'd be storms and rain but they were a no show. Didn't bring my phone on the voyage so will show pics of our beach time just prior to getting out on the water.
100 degrees out. I'd rather be in the water than on it. But, the flag on our dock was barely fluttering so I went out on the kayak with an adult beverage anticipating a leisurly watery happy hour, while Alan decided to go out for a sail. He headed east, I went north to go around Wirts Wharf and was accosted by northern winds stronger than I've ever encountered before. I paddled hard into the gale force winds to the other side of the creek while the waves were sending spray over and into the kayak! Really? The kayak? I made it to the other side of the creek but I couldn't even get a sip of my drink battling the wind and waves, white caps were everywhere, worse Ive ever seen while kayaking. .Couldn't even take a pic I was so busy trying not to die, keeping the kayak upright and avoiding the rocks along the shore. Paddled back around the bend and then calm, flat water, mild breeze. Go figure. I do not understand wind. Now I'm on the deck drinking my well deserved adult beverage. I'm still sweating
