Unfortunately jacket weather is upon us, boo! At the end of the shift I had to go down to North Carolina into the Currituck Sound to rescue a boater in distress. I'm a hero!

Pleasant day on patrol despite the clouds and the NE winds. Solved some crime and got to see some great boats. Had a new member of the unit onboard for some underway training.
Absolutely gorgeous fall day on the Southern Bay. Tons of boats on the water enjoying the mild temps and favorable winds. Even got some fishing in.
Another day in 6'+ seas searching for the 2 missing victims. While running patterns, we all had jump into action to rescue another drowning victim who ignored the red flags and soon found out that the North Atlantic Ocean can be very dangerous. After getting her back to shore, we all resumed our patterns. We had no luck, but the 2 victims did wash ashore later this night.
Very rough day on the water looking for two missing swimmers from the oceanfront. Hopefully we can find them and bring closure to the family.
Waited to exchange boats mid journey with teammates completing the Tortuga Nav exercise. Very rough day with NE winds. Handed off 146 for 40 in the lee of the first island.
Amphibious assault. Served search warrant on the water. Delivered SWAT via water for the ultimate surprise.
Looks like the future was only a day away. Conditions were perfect to complete training evolution Glaucus. Transiting the breakers across the sandbar at Fisherman's Island was a little nerve-wracking, but once inside, it s smooth sailing.
Looks like we've made it. Went up the inside passage of Virginia's Eastern Shore. It really is beautiful up inside the barrier islands. Planning on a return trip at high tide in the future.
Where did these temperatures come from. Hope this isn't a harbinger for a wicked winter.
