Very busy start to a long Memorial Day Weekend.
Century Club: Billy Hannigan
Taco Tuesday and a great day on the water.
Got the boat away from the dock. Afterwards.....crab cakes.
Got some area fam in and took in some of the more popular areas of the southern bay.
Got some time on patrol and a field trip before the rains.
Absolutely gorgeous day to get out on the water. Not a lot of people out so the few who did get out had the southern bay to themselves.
Final day of Week 17 or College Beach Weekend. Good preview of the busy summer season. Missed the sock burning party and didn't get a chance to take my boat out. But silver lining, made enough in OT to pay for my new batteries. My patrol boat is on the hard getting a fresh coat of bottom paint, so took boat 40 out instead.
Not a lot of traffic most of the day. Some excitement today as a fishing boat escaping Hampton Roads slammed into the 1st Island of the CBBT and then ran around on the spine. Captain claimed engine failure but their AIS track say different. Bye bye Captains license. Please stay at the helm.
First day of week 17 was very uneventful. My boat is on the hard, getting a fresh coat of bottom paint. So I went on patrol with MAR7. Kept the Lynnhaven safe.
