Great foggy and rainy day to get some low visibility and radar training done. Had some friends hang out with me at the mouth of the bay.

Put 187 back in the water after having a hydraulic leak fixed on the starboard engine.
Attended the annual search and rescue forum in Hampton, VA put on by the Port of Virginia and the United States Coast Guard. Great week of training and exercises ending with an active shooter scenario aboard the Spirit of Mount Vernon. As always the port provided too notch training in real world situations that all agencies can take back to their departments to enhance their capabilities and provide benefits to the public.

Great day on the Bay. Made a area fam trip across the Bay to Cape Charles. Had to check the channel dredging into Oyster Farm. I am not impressed, entire sections were not dredged and the channel is not marked properly.
Still very snotty on the Bay, but toughed it out to Hampton to get area fam for the new guys. Toured the Hampton River, up the James and into Newport News.
Choppy day out on the Bay. North/Northwest winds for the next several days.....yuck!
Nice, but chilly day here on the lower bay. Ran the oceanfront looking for an injured dolphin a citizen called about. Got to see whales, harbor seals and birds galore. The pelicans are as abundant as seagulls.
Weather cooperated today for 2nd and successful retrieval of vehicle. Even though comditions improved, the contractor still snapped a spud in half due to the swell.
Helping a citizen who became stranded due to a mechanical issue. Boat was towed for haul out.
