Jim and Syed were visiting from Chicago/Dallas, and there was no wind. So we headed out to Heron and cruised to the West River (Stan and Joe's). We knew to ask for the jumbo crabs -- just a half dozen. This is Chesapeake summer.

Crab Creek to Church Creek.
Nasty water in our cove. At least there was a bit of breeze.
Warm and humid.
Up to Church Creek today.
August weather that feels like September. I'll take it. Great sail from Spa Creek to the Bay Bridge, but then there wasn't enough wind north of the bridge. Motored to Gibson Island and hit the (unbelievably) jellyfish free water. More fun on Sunday, but had to motor home.
Another glorious day. It won't last. Headed towards Church Creek.
Seems that's what I need to bring with me when I go kayaking. Someone has decided to block access to the cutout by locking adirondack chairs to the handrail.
Breezy Crab Creek day,
Spied 3 jellyfish in Crab Creek (en route to Ferry Point). Do they emit their pheromones to their buddies to tell them to congregate in my creek? Are others lurking?
When the weather is this unseasonably gorgeous, you've just got to get out there. Not enough breeze to sail, but we took Calypso out anyway. Motored to Whitehall Bay and hung out on the hook for some jellyfish-free swimming. Since there was lots of wake and boat activity, we then headed to Ridout Creek to anchor for the night. Perfect weather for sleeping without AC. Early departure got us back to Spa Creek for the 10:30 a.m. bridge.
About 20 degrees. Whew!
I think I might have spied skates in the creek today.
