Out on Red Baron (Olson 29) for the first SMSA frostbite race of the season. RC set an engaging course and moderately heavy wind kept things interesting. Did some work at the mast and foredeck including troubleshooting a difficult sail change. Finished 6th out of 10 which was slower than I expected based on how the race felt. Glad to be back on the water and looking forward to a good season! Thanks Steve for the picture

Cold night on the Barba Roja for my last sail of the year. Wind was very light so we motored up to the bridge and were able to roll out the headsail briefly on the way home. Good end to the 2024 season and looking forward to getting back out on the water next year.

Came down the road for Thanksgiving and was able to get in a quick sail on my way down. Ran across the basin in Solomons and back as the sun was going down. Good practice time on the helm.

Out on the Barba Roja for another sail while I was in SOMD. Sailed up to the Cove Point lighthouse and back. Got some more good practice on the help and learned a couple of things.

Out on Rascal to watch the (too early) sunset. Motored around to check out a nearby marina then sailed out into the harbor for a bit. Wind turned off so we motored up into the city to enjoy some nighttime boating.

Out on Dangerous for a Sunday frostbite in Solomon's. Good course and good to knock off the cobwebs after a month of not racing. Hit my 50th day on the water for this year which was my unofficial goal for the season. Thanks Jonathan for the picture.

Treated myself to a new paddleboard on an end of season sale. Took ti for a shakedown cruise to get in some mileage. Board rides well and I'm glad to be able to paddle again.

Out on Rascal for a relaxing Sunday sail before the early sunset. Had some good time on the helm downwind and starting to adjust to sailing in the cold. Glad to be back on the water after being out of town for a few weeks. Thanks Lynn and Maggie for the pictures as always.

Last race of the season. Got out into the harbor where we found almost no wind so RC called the race. Disappointing to miss the last race of the series and main season but good time spent with a good crew. Thanks Lynn for the picture
