Slow start into a shifty upwind leg. Wind turned off about halfway to the mark and moved around so we put a spin up to try and get some movement. Rain and fog cleared as the day went on but extremely light wind left us taking a slow crawl to the finish. Got to Fort McHenry and RC extended the finish time but with no chance of making it in time we retired. Still a good day on the water. Thanks Lynn for the pictures.

Last Wednesday on Eighth Deadly Sin for this season. Rainy and cold but strong tactics and a good crew turnout led to a strong finish.
Braved the rain for a quick race. Strong upwind legs and spin work but the bottom is in need of a deep cleaning so it was making us slower.
Another dreary day on the water. Small crew of 5 but RC put up an interesting course and got some good practice free-flying the spin with Mike.
Dreary Tuesday in Baltimore. Slow start and challenging roundings at the mark close to a ship but any day on the watter is a good time. Thanks Lynn for the picture.
Jonathan brought the Spicy Meatball down to Lake Anna for a long weekend with some friends. Got in 3 good days on the boat despite shifty conditions and learned it will pass the "I swear it's a five seater" test. Spent a little time paddling as well to round out a great weekend.
Out on Eighth Deadly Sin for another Wednesday race. Very strong start between two other racers into a good upwind leg. Set up for the downwind and the wind turned off so RC shortened the course to one lap. Great communication between the crew and a very smooth race.
Out on Incorrigible for another Tuesday race. Strong start and first upwind and downwind legs. Fouled another boat due to a bad call on a crossing we thought we could make and had to do circles. Wind lightened towards the end of the race bringing us to a slow finish.
Relaxing Sunday sail on Rascal. Wind was very shifty but got some good helm time in challenging conditions.
On Eighth Deadly Sin for the first race of series 5. Ideal conditions for the race with good tactics and problem solving from the crew. Truly a perfect day on the water and a good break in the middle of a busy week.
