Did a little frostbiting in the snow and freezing rain. I was excited by the forecast which called for lots of snow - I've long wanted to sail in enough snow to see the wind play on the sails. But it was mostly rain, with a few fat heavy flakes that just fell straight down. One day!

Crewed on a beautiful XP44 to deliver it from Hampton, VA to St Thomas.
G and I joined Mike on Specific Gravity for a beautiful midday sail. Nice breeze scheduled to rise to a gale - we got back just as it was getting to be a bit much. G and I both got tiller time and main trim practice, in tricky, puffy, shifty conditions.
Always a pleasure to sail with Mike!
Mike didn't waste any time moving the boat, so we didn't even miss a week of racing! Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to dangle off the bow as is my wont in warmer months... or maybe that's actually fortunate, since it's getting *cold*...
[Looks like we didn't get a score for this race, since our ORC rating expired. Switching to PHRF next week!]
Closing night of the frostbite series. Last race of the year on the West River. Much feels. Many bittersweet.
Beautiful with decent sailing. I do need to practice different dousing techniques - muscling it down in autumn breeze gets slow and iffy...
Joined some buddies as they sea trialed their boat in very sporty conditions. Downwind was fine but up wind was work against the 20kts of wind, out of the south so long fetch and bug seas against us, olus a ripping current against us as well. The rudder broke, we ran out of gas and ultimately had to get a tow.
Everyone had a blast
Spent most of the time working myself off the bottom during this crazy low tide!
Lots of tacks and jibes, plus just playing the main in very shifty, puffy conditions
Crewed on Nimbus the Rainbow while recording for some instructional videos.
