Thanks to Donna and Jason and Jamie for having me out on celerity. Great fun as always.

Race alone around a couple of speed buoys pretty well windward/leeward though with a favored port tack. Focused on tacking slowly at first then quickly, and exiting on a good angle. Then thunder struck and I buried back. Quickest solo docking and derig ever, I think...
No pictures though. My bad.
Another lovely day for racing, the wind was pretty variable, and ended up dying off. Pretty bad at the end there. But learned a lot, including about some new rules, and had a great time with the Annapolis-Salem School crew. Can't ask for more than that!
More practice rigging a laser, then a bunch of tracks in moderate air, then a race with the eldest. Then more practice derigging. You're and smiling, that's a good day.
The youngest and I took a couple of kayaks up Back Creek to kill time while waiting for fireworks.
Right after a solid Spinnaker start, Specific Gravity neglected to look around and got rolled pretty hard into last place but clawed our way up the fleet with a spin that points like a code 0 and a couple of good tactical decisions. Being short handed cost us a little on maneuvers, but not much that would have made a difference.
Our little daysailer clone floats! Moreover, the little electric trolling motor is more than enough to get us from Truxton Park boat ramp, under the Spa Creek bridge, and out into the bay. The next outing will be a proper sea trial with spars and sails, and after that will rename her and give her a maiden voyage.
I wonder if they'll let us race a clone with the real daysailers at TESOD
Took a rainbow out for an evening sail. Mixed it up with the beer can fleets. Fun times!
Another lovely night on Specific Gravity
