Continuing north, we headed up to the Solomons. We sailed up the Patuxent. I left my laptop charger at home, so I ordered a spare that would be delivered to Zahnisers. We stay on the dock the first night and on a mooring the second. Package received.

We pulled up anchor from LIttle Bay around 9:45 am and we motored up Dividing Creek to just check it out. Very nice creek for future anchorage. We sailed out of the create with boat Genoa and Main, but the wind eventually died out into Fleets Bay. We motored north up into the Great Wicomico and anchored in the bay passed Sandy Point. Nice anchorage. Recommended.
At the beginning of our Chesapeake Bay cruise, we sailed from Cobbs in Little Creek to Little Bay off of Fleets Bay north of the Rappahanock. Our avereage speed (SOG) was 7.5-8.9 knots from LC entrance to Windmills Point. Once we turned toward Little Bay, we slowed a bit but could still sail into the channel. Beautiful day of sailing.
On Sunday, we took our granddaugher and her best friend out for a daysail off Little Creek. The wind was so light, that we finally furled the sails, dropped the hook and went for a swim off East Beach. They had a blast.
Raced on Wharf Rat in the first race of the third series. Another first place for Wharf Rat in NS2.
Visiting friends at Smith Mountain Lake and took a tour of the lake on their power boat.
Racing on Wharf Rat again and taking first place in the NS2.
We usually only race in one race a year with Flight Risk and Cape Charles is that race. We had a blast but are exhausted from the workout. Lots of wind and interesting shifts. Great race.
Had a wild sail during the first day of the Cape Charles Cup. Great sailing.
Took Wharf Rat out on behalf of Andy Spittler, but after arriving at the starting line, the storm blossumed and the lightning began. The race we cancelled, so we had a quick trip back to the docks.
