In light wind, we traveled up the Rappahanock into the Corrotoman River. We anchored up the eastern branch at Sandy Point.

Anchored in Fishing Bay for a beautiful evening with storms around us but not on us. The temperature was perfect.
Had a great night of racing off the Little Creek inlet.
Sunday was a beautiful day to sail around the lower bay. We took Flight Risk out for a run.
Cathy and I raced Flight Risk in the informal pick up race off LIttle Creek.
Cruised up to Mobjack Bay and anchored in the East River with friends from the Broad Bay Sailing Association. A somewhat dreary weekend, but we had a nice sail to Mobjack and fun dinghy rides and hikes on Sunday. No wind on Monday, but lots of activity in the harbors on the way home.
Sailed up to the Ware River from Cobbs Marina and anchored near #6. We had 15-25 knots of wind giving us a great sail up the Bay. Saturday, we stayed on anchor and dinghied around the area exploring the creeks. Sailed back to Cobbs Marina on Sunday.
We left Coinjock Marina at 6:50 am on 4/5/2020. We headed north across the Currituck Sound, which was windy and bumpy, but not the worst I have seen this sound. We made it to the Great Bridge bridge and lock by 12 noon and were back at Cobb's Marina in Norfolk by 3:30 pm. Although we could have sailed in the Bay, we were already fairly exhausted, so we just motored home. We covered 59.2 nautical miles today.
This completed our trip to the Exumas and back. We were on the boat for 5 1/2 months. See stats in image attached.
We left the anchorage at Tuckahoe Pt at 7 am and headed into strong north winds up the Alligator River. I was afraid they would close the Alligator River Bridge again, but fortunately the winds did not exceed the limit. The bridge tender timed the opening perfectly for us to continue without slowing down.
Once out in the Albermarle Sound, we could sail and motor-sail across with reefed main and Genoa. We averaged about 7.5 knots in to a NW wind. We continued up the North River to Coinjock Marina where we stayed a few days, waiting for the north winds to die down.
