An SSA sailing tradition! The ILCA fleet fielded fifteen boats for the Annual Stuart Walker Ice Bowlz. We raced 11 miles up and back down the Severn River on a chilly, overcast New Years Day. As always it was a challenging race. A great way to start the year!

I started the year off right with a sail up the Severn River for the annual Ice Bowl regatta. Always a fun event and a great way to start the year!
I made it to two days of the ILCA frostbite series in 2023. Sadly we lost two day to lack of breeze. Hoping for more breeze in the new year!
We took the Key West out for the last time this year. We had a lovely day for a boat ride and had one last stab at catching rockfish. Sadly no fish but maybe next year! Now she is hauled and ready for winter.
Since we weee unable to cruise this weekend, we decided to bring the Spider home for a Sunday Funday dinghy cruise. It was a breezy and beautiful day in Annapolis!
we blew up the dinghy again the following Sunday. The trees were beautiful and we caught a glimpse of the paddling witches!
We took the Key West out on a breezy day to try and find some fish. No fish were caught but we did have a fun boat ride and a beautiful sunset.
It was a great road trip to Newport for the ILCA master NA's. Hosted by the New York Yacht Club every ten years, it is a fantastic event at a challenging venue. We had lots of cold wind, rain and current. But the view from Harbor Court is always worth the drive!
Sadly the tropical storm kept us from racing on Saturday, but we had five fun racing in a wide range of conditions on Sunday.
A fall weekend in the Key West. Tried some fishing and caught a glimpse of the boat docking competition on our way to lunch.
We had to change our vacation plans and drive to FBYC for this annual highlight of the ILCA calendar. The breeze was light in Saturday before the storms rolled in. Sunday there was no racing due to lack of wind and impending weather but I am counting it because I was rigged and ready to go. Always a great time in Fishing Bay!
