Friday: Trained for spinnaker Racing with Skymark crew. About 4 hours of sailing.
Saturday: racing off Buckroe Beach for 12.4 miles from Yankee to Back River channel and around Thimble shoal Light. Finshed 4/8, 4 minutes out of thrird place
Sunday: racing off Buckroe Beach for 12.4 miles from Yankee around Thimble Shoal up to Back River and return. Finsihed 4/8 , 1:58 behind third place.
Monday: returned to NOB via fuel stop at Bluewater Yacht
Sailed to Hampton to pre-stage for SBRW
Underway as crew with student for day sail and stop at Hampton City Docks for lunch.
A short sail out and back with perfect winds out of the west.
First race of the Summer series. Heavy fog and light winds and shortened course. Ist place buy a minute!
Instructed US Sailing Basic Cruising class over the weekend out of Norfolk Naval Sailing Center (NNSC). Used their Hunter 260 for the in water instruction. Qualified 4 individuals.
ANother race evening on Skymark. Came in 2nd and ended up 1st in Spring series!
6th race of the season, poor last tack cost us 1st, still second out of 9 racers...in the fog!
5th race of season, another 1 of 9 finish!
4th race of the season, came in 1st again!
