Short on crew so signed up for Cruising fleet for this 7 nm race off Buckroe Beach (Yankee Point). A great day of good winds with no chop and we did well; fiinshed 5 of 10 in non-spin as they moved us into that group since we were the only Cruisier. Took 2nd place in slower NS group!

Picked correst tack for first leg and ran away from all. However, Oh SHeet gained considerably on the off-wind leg to where we were close all the way from the B mark to the finish. Just managed a quick tack at the line taht put us in first by 2 seconds! Patrick and WIll as regulars.
3rd race of Summer season. Picked wrong side of Bay and came in 3 minutes behind Oh Sheet. Tied for 2nd in the series so far.
Sailed in Parade of sail to Norfolk for NOB on Friday and sailed back to NOB on Sunday.
2nd race of Summer season. Came in 1st by 4 minutes and 4th to cross the line in White and Blue fleets.
Sailed over to Hampton on Thursday, did race traing on Friday and then raced Satuday and SUnday. 6 of 8 and 4 of 8 respectively. seconds off podium on Sunday. Returned to Norfolk on Monday.
First Race of Summer series. Third across in both White and Blue Fleets. Lots of wind 17 gusting to 22. Will try SIngle reef in Main and Jib next time winds are this high. Wes, Will, Dimitry, and Patrick as crew. 50 minutes around. 2nd in Blue Fleet.
Raced in ORC Spinnaker fleet for this one off Buckroe Beach area. Short course from Y to X to M to Y to finiish off Fort Monroe. Came in 4 of 6 and 4 of 6 on corrected time. Will, Patraick, Dimitry, and Merrilee as crew.
Race 7 of the spring series. Lots of wind and was seconds behind Oh Sheet for finish, Both of us corrected over all boats in White fleet including a Tartan 37 Classic who was well into first place in White. Skymark was 2nd overall in the Spring series with Oh Sheet in 1st.
Underway for 4 hours with Bernie on the NNSC Colgate 26.
