Took the paddle board out on Bear Point Cove and opted to hug the Lee shore as the breeze made the paddle a bit more challenging. 75F, mostly cloudy, with winds 13 mph from the SE at time of launch (8:20 am). Always enjoyable exploring along the mangroves. Just one ray encounter but not able to catch a photo.

Got up a little earlier to walk the dog before sunrise. Took the paddle board out at Bear Point Cove. 73F, mostly cloudy, with winds 15 mph out of the SSE at time of launch (7:35 am). Didn't follow my typical route as it was a bit too breezy out near the abandoned pier and the Manatee sign. Stayed close to shore and got a good, uneventful paddle in. Fair number of anglers out as it is the weekend.
Took the paddle board out on Bear Point Cove this morning and there was a bit of aquatic excitement. 70F, mostly sunny, with winds 3 mph from the NE at time of launch (8:15 am). Still not sure if it was a snark or multiple rays but there was a sizeable disturbance on the surface of the water. Fortunately it didn't cause me to fall but unfortunately happened so fast that I couldn't grab a picture. Always fun on the board!
With a busy schedule today, opted to take the paddle board out a bit earlier. 65F, clear, with winds at 5 mph from the NNW at time of launch (7:25 am). Walked the dog on the beach prior to sunrise and got to see the sunrise while paddling.
Opted to delay my morning paddle on the Indian River Lagoon a bit to allow a line of thunderstorms to pass through. 69F, mostly cloudy with winds at 5 mph from the W at time of launch (9:00 am). On my way back in, I was joined by another paddle boarder and the ever present pelicans.
Took the paddle board out at South Causeway Park and it was flat calm. 67F, sunny, with winds 2 mph from the SSW at time of launch (8:20 am). With the exception of some boat traffic, it was nice and flat - even on the ocean at sunrise.
After watching a guy bring a spinner shark in at the beach, I took the paddle board out on Bear Point Cove and captured a few more wildlife shots. 62F, sunny, with winds calm at 2 mph from the NNE at time of launch (8:50 am). Saw at least 4 rays while paddling and said hello to the pelicans on the pier.
Took the paddle board out at South Causeway Park. 51F, sunny, with winds at 2 mph from the NW at time of launch (8:30 am). It is so much more enjoyable to paddle when the winds are down. Could have stayed out all day - just enjoy seeing where all the anchored sailboats are from (RI, WA, DE, DC, FL, etc)
While the sunrise was beautiful, my morning paddle was pretty chilly. 54F, sunny, with winds 14 mph from the NW at time of launch (8:25 am). Stayed in the northern corner of Bear Point Cove to be sheltered a bit from the breeze.
Took the paddle board out in Bear Point Cove on the Indian River Lagoon and spotted my first shark (approx 3 1/2 feet long) out near the Manatee wake zone sign. Moving quickly so wasn't able to snap a picture. 60F, sunny, with wind at 4 mph from the SW at time of launch (8:30am).
