Took a friend who had not been sailing in 40 years out for a half day sail. It was a lovely time.

Enjoyed an evening cruise on the Potomac R. with friends on a small powerboat.
Rented a Flying Scot out of Belle Haven Marina in Virginia for an afternoon sail between the Wilson Bridge and Ft. Washington.
Got in my "on the water" fix today by taking the water taxi between the DC Wharf and Old Town Alexandria, both ways.
Did an overnight sail on the Rhode R. with four Parklawn Sailing Association friends.
Participated in a shakedown cruise of PSA's Pisces, which had been on the hard all week for inspections, a fresh coat of paint and topsides waxing and buffing. Beautiful afternoon for a sail.
Led a training sail on PSA's Vivace. Good sailing, fine companions. What more could one ask for?
Skippered a day sail to escape the heat. Good southerly breeze. Went out to the West R. Green 1; hove to for lunch and the sailed leisurely back to the marina.
Joined a crew of crazy PSA and SCOW sailors on "Luna," a 17' Flying Scot, for a pre-dawn meeting up of the clipper round the world race yachts as they made their way up the Washington Channel from the Wilson Bridge to the DC Wharf. Had lots of good interaction with the crews of these 70' racing yachts, as we sailed around, between, and up to them. One boat even tossed us a gift of coiled line!
Devoted this rare weekday maintenance day to "Vivace," as the other boats were in use. Most of the tasks were routine and the boat benefitted from the "TLC".
