We had a fun powerboat ride on my friends boat, the Luna Sea to watch the Blue Angels celebrate USNA class of 2022! It is always exciting to see the airshow. The sun came out and we had a fun day on the water!

I managed to get out racing for the second day of the ILCA Spring Series. Sadly I missed the first day due to work, but I hear the four races on Saturday were light and challenging so I didn't miss much. On Sunday the breeze improved throughout the day and I finished the day with a third place! And the reach in was great practice for my upcoming trip to Mexico. Another great day on the water in Annapolis.
Finally a Tuesday evening with some breeze! It was a shifty westerly similar to a Frostbite day but the air was warm. It was some solid practice for my upcoming trip to the worlds in Mexico.
It has been weeks since we worked on the boats in Solomons so we spent the weekend at the marina. I started stripping adhesive off the inside of the hull in the aft cabin to prepare for painting while Jeff prepped the Key West for launching. We managed to squeeze in a few water days in the form of dinghy rides and attempts at fishing. Sadly there no fish to be caught but still a couple of great days on the water.
Gearing up for the ILCA Masters Worlds in Mexico, I am logging as many practice days as possible. There is not always time to take pictures. I hope we get some windy practice days because they say it blows perros off chains in Puerto Vallarta!

It was a lovely night for Tuesday night sailing! Weeknight racing is a great way to celebrate spring in Annapolis!
We hosted the annual Sunshine Open regatta April 30-May 1 at SSA. 20 ILCA 7 and 14 ILCA 6's competed in four races on Saturday and one race on Sunday. Sunday racing was cut short due to lack of wind. But the event was a success and enjoyed by all.
TESOD stands for Tuesday Evenong Sail One Design. Every year we emerge from winter and start our weeknight dinghy sailing tradition. It is a great way to start the week! This Tuesday the breeze was very light but I managed to get out for a brief sail on my Laser.
We got our SSA duty days out of the way early by volunteering to run races for the Soling spring series. Sadly the wind did not cooperate with only one race on Saturday and two races on Sunday before we towed the becalmed yachts back to shore.
It is a boat work and maintenance weekend for us in Solomon's getting Terrapin and the Key West ready for the season. But that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun too! Evening dinghy cocktail cruises to SMSA for happy hour on Friday and Creek exploration. Hooray, it is boating season!
